Why can the metadata viewer open more formats than the editor?
Reading metadata is generally safer than rewriting it. The viewer can inspect additional formats, while the editor initially supports only formats where metadata writing can be verified reliably.
Does the editor modify the original image?
No. SwiftVecto creates a separate edited image for download while your original uploaded file remains unchanged.
Will the image dimensions change?
No intentional resize or crop is performed.
Will the image be compressed?
The editor does not intentionally apply image optimisation or compression settings. The image is rewritten only as necessary to save the metadata changes.
